Fast became my favorite place . Food is great and employees are very nice.
The best dinner in town. The place is clean and enjoyable the food comes out quickly. My family comes here for breakfast all the time. I usually order eggs over easy with Canadian bacon, fries a toasted english muffin with a wonderful cup of coffee. They also make a great omelets.
The Best Darn Breakfast place around. Simply the Best. Highly Recommend. Amazing staff. Amazing food. Simply the Freshest of ingredients. My whole family loves them. They have been around for over 25 years. Amazing.
Nice family restaurant and friendly servers. Pleasant decour and kept clean. If you live in the area definitely try this place!
Grabbed late breakfast for four to go around 2:30 pm today (just before closing). All tasty and generously portioned.
Cute spot!!! Friendly service!! Yummy food! They even brought my 2 yr old niece's food out 1st to keep her happy. Would def go back!
This is an old school breakfast joint in Sayreville. CASH ONLY. You have a great wait staff that is fast and friendly. The food here is pretty good. Parking has and always will be a challenge for this is a very old section of Sayreville. No sense in complaining about it. But you’ll be glad to have struggled with parking just to eat here.
Waffle had no flavor, syrup was not sweet, the sausage was not sausage... disappointed in quality of food.
It's a quaint little place and pretty quick service. I think it may be cash only too
Great food and great service Barbara is by far the best waitress in the world
Best little spot. Great service, quick good food. Moved out of town and still stop in when I can
The food is very good. The service is horrible. Took 10 minutes to get menus when it wasn't busy another 6 minutes to place our order and when it came the waitress remarked I had no silverware. Couldn't get refills although we tried to attract The Waitresses attention. It's cash only!!!!!It's noted on the door. But I didn't see that stated on our menu anywhere. Luckily my aunt brought some money and had to pay for her own breakfast. The place gets two stars because the food is good. And if you're a local or a regular perhaps the service is better. Once we left I remarked we won't be going back here again.
Great small town atmosphere, friendly wait staff and the best food!!
Then make some good French toast
As a senior citizen, I've been in many good restaurants in my time and this one is up there with them. What dumbfounds me is why the owner(s) does not accept debit/credit card payments for food prices that rivals and perhaps exceed those of other establishments that do. They would rather stick the customer an extra $2.15 fee on top of the bill. Then rather pay a smaller transaction fee themselves for accepting such card payments. It's a shame that they're doing this in this day and age. I was slightly embarrassed when I pulled out my card to pay, only to have the waitress let me know that they only accept cash and then politely pointing to the ATM. Then having to walk over to it and get charged an extra $2.15 on top of the bill I'm "required" to pay cash for.
I love this diner. Great food good friendly service!!
Dirty. They only wiped part of the table from the previous occupant. The last people had left a spoon and napkin on the table, so they just added a knife and fork to it for my child to use. The cream I was served had something black floating in it. Not a hair. Maybe a piece of thread or something. The ketchup bottle had wear from age. The cap was dented in many places, and the labels look like they've either been through a dishwasher or the bottle has been in use for a couple of years. Our ketchup bottle was not the only one in this condition. Received the wrong change from my payment. And they're cash only, with a shady portable ATM in the back.
Super affordable, great family ambiance, fresh taste, great and fast service
Very nice friendly neighborhood diner good food
Food was adequate at best. Eggs benedict came with a cheese sauce on top of it, oh and make sure you bring cash with you because they don't take credit cards there's an ATM that wants to bang you out up by the register!
I have never been a fan of diners because most of them often use frozen food. I was a bit reluctant to try this place but it was definitely worth it. The food was so fresh and amazing. The service was great as well considering how quickly the food was made. It was a cute little tiny diner that I would definitely go back to. The only thing that's a bit hard to deal with is the payment option of cash only. However, that doesn't take away from enjoying the food and atmosphere at Sunny Side Up.
If you want great classic breakfast food made with love and priced the way food should be, then Sunny Side Up is where you need to be. My girlfriend and I found this place through a quick internet search and we've gone every Sunday since. The staff is friendly and the owner is always there. They're quick to refill your coffee and the place has a great atmosphere and cozy vibe. The omelettes are phenomenal and come with delicious home fries. The waffles are spot on and the French toast is a classic done right. If you want a real breakfast, go to to Sunny Side Up. I'd also like to mention that you get WAY more than you pay for. That's QUALITY and QUANTITY at the same time. I hope this review gets you to come down if you're on the fence. You won't be disappointed.
30 years of bilingual breakfast & lunch makes for a real treat. Sunny side up omelet with home fries thrown in and rye toast was a filling, tasty morning glory.
Cozy place, great food, great service. Parking lot in the back.
Went for the first time, today!Seat yourself, plenty of table options with booths and tables. Comfortable, friendly environment. Relatively busy for Wednesday at 11:30 am but served quickly. Excellent coffee a plus. Typical but very good menu options for a small town USA diner. Scrambled eggs done to order with plenty of bacon, good whole wheat toast and home friends done perfectly!Friendly staff, asked how we were doing on multiple occasions, was not rushed, under $20 for 2 for breakfast. Highly recommend! Looking forward to moving to Parlin and making this our diner spot!
Great place! Great food! Great staff! Absolutely love it there! Best french fries ever!
Great food. Excellent service. Good prices. Highly recommend it!
Really nice local breakfast spot with old school NJ breakfasts ... western omelettes, pork roll egg and cheese, eggs cooked any way you can imagine.
A comfy restaurant with a very relaxed atmosphere. Very common amongst Sayreville locals. Prices are very fair, and food is delicious.
great food, good atmosphere, solid service.
The food is great here. We had a wonderful waitress. Thanks Sheila for having patience with us. Your bubbly personality will have us return in the near future. 🙂
We had waffle with sausage and the #7 breakfast set. The food was good but the drink is terrible. The hot chocolate I had was too watery. The place is small and very busy around 10-12:30.
It’s just a great local place
Local gem in the heart of Sayreville. Great food. Reasonable prices
Food is ok, good service.
Hidden gem, great food.
A good simple place for breakfast
Great place to eat. Prices are reasonable, but, they don't accept credit cards. Cash only. The staff is nice. I go there all the time.
A truly cozy-old style restaurant! It’s cash only but the items on the menu is so cheap that it’s really not a problem! The food is good and they’re always so pleasant and tries to accommodate you. There’s usually not a long wait which is amazing! If you’re in the area, try to stop by for breakfast.
Excellent service 👍 Excellent food
Classic small town Jersey diner. Quick, cheap, simple and delicious. The service was good, and the milkshakes were excellent, not to mention the food hit the spot. When ever I am around I like to stop by and grad what I can!
My favorite local diner for breakfast. Very affordable and extremely fast service
Great local place with large portions for a good price. The French toast is very tasty and fills you up. I will say that the combos only give you one small half a sip cup of juice. It’s also a cash only establishment. I’d be back for the French toast and bacon.
I’m just leaving this is the best service I’ve ever had and the best burger and fries it’s great it’s worth every penny
One of my neighbors told me about this diner. It a small hole in the wall but the prices are low and the food is good. We like to visit Sunny's for breakfast on Saturday mornings. Their menu offers the usual diner food, the homefries are tasty, not bland like most diners. They underwent a much needed remodeling in the main dining area and now looks much brighter.Funds must have run short because the bathrooms were not renovated and could definitely use it.
First time and we will be back.. very cute place. Nice vibe, very inviting. Great prices and most importantly, I REALLY enjoyed my eggs Benedict. That is my favorite breakfast meal and it was a perfect success! Thank you
Quiet little place. Staff is great. Very friendly. Very clean. Food is very good. Have not had a bad experience here yet. Great prices also.
Great service, small little dinner but great food. Excellent porkroll egg & cheese.
I absolutely loved this place. The staff was very nice and made sure to take care of our every need. The place had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The food was absolutely amazing! It tasted very fresh and had an authentic vibe to it!
Nice cozy mom and pop diner. Had the hash and eggs. Was very good, food prepared as requested and the decaf coffee was better than the coffee I have had recently.
Best place in sayreville for breakfast.. waitresses are always nice and welcoming
